This is an illustration I did for my dad for his birthday, wich is today. He is really into weapons and such things so I thought it is a good excuse to draw one of his fav weapons: a katana :3
As always happens, the scanner killed the colours TT__TT It looks so bright...
As the last one, all done completly in traditional media. Only reduced the brightness and size with Open Canvas.

-Sakura trees and some shines in the hair done in Mungyo Pastels
-Lineart and tree trunks with Staedtler finliners (brown and black)
-Colouring was done in Faber Castell colour pencils
-White details done with Signo white gelpen
(so you dont ask how I did each thing e_e;; )

:heart:__:heart: This is absoultely gorgeous. People who can use traditional media likes always amazes me. The texture, the colors, everything is so smooth and it's definitely a great work of art. If I had any talent, I would want to try using tradiational media x). Love the crane too. Such a beautiful creature, ne ^^? Ah, well happy birthday to your father ^_^

This gives me a warm and happy feeling for some reason. ^^ Possibly because it's the knowledge that, if I were in the warrior's shoes, I know I have someone who cares so much about me to offer such a precious gift.

I'll bet your dad feels the same way. :)
